Can you do work experience at the bath cats and dogs home.
As animals are also a much-loved part of the city, Visit Bath are pleased to support Bath Cats and Dogs Home. Bath Cats and Dogs Home rescues, rehabilitates and rehomes unwanted and neglected animals from Bath and the surrounding areas, taking in over 1,200 unwanted animals each year and working hard to find new homes for dogs, cats and small animals in need.
Most jobs with dogs are hands-on. A typical day working in a boarding or animal charity kennels may involve walking dogs, scrubbing and disinfecting kennels, preparing 2 daily meals, ensuring fresh water, laundry work to clean and dry bedding, bathing and grooming dogs, providing games and environmental enrichment and carrying out daily health checks.
Bath Cats and Dogs Home is one of the busiest re-homing centres in the south-west with over 1,100 unwanted cats, dogs and small animals relying upon us every year. We aim to find every single animal a new loving home, no matter how long this may take. At any one time we have approximately 80 dogs, 80 cats and a variety of small animals in our care.
Walter is a very loving, bouncy medium size boy who needs a dog experienced home with another playful dog. He is a high energy boy who walks well on a lead but is nervous of strange dogs and people he doesn’t know and can be reactive towards them when on lead. With careful introductions.
